Here at Daisy Education we fundamentally believe that all children can achieve their full potential, and we use our extensive skills, experience and passion for learning to help them do just that.
We specialise in tutoring and Poetry Workshops for primary schools, bringing our expertise and creativity to a wide audience of children. Tutoring takes place at our specially designed interactive classroom in Elstree, Hertfordshire or you can opt for online lessons which can take place anywhere in the world.
Daisy Education believe in the power of education, the joy of knowledge and the importance of entertainment. Our approach is always to find the best way for each individual child to find the fun in learning, using their own experiences to make connections; we don’t do “one size fits all” here.

Tutoring
Children often need extra support while they are learning – for a short time to increase their understanding of a particular topic, or longer term to build their confidence and enjoyment of learning. Tutoring is an ideal way to provide children with this support, through the benefit of trained and experienced teachers.
Here at Daisy Education our teachers include Subject Leaders, Heads of Year and Advanced Skills teachers, so you know your child is getting the best educational support they can. What’s more, we love what we do, and that passion makes a real difference to how engaging education can be.
We offer tailored programmes for Primary aged children, and can tutor on any curriculum subject. We specialise in teaching phonics, Literacy and Maths, as well as preparation for SATs, 7 plus, 11 plus and entrance exams for secondary school.
Children follow individual programmes that have been tailored to their specific needs. We believe in the benefits of collaborative learning, so our sessions include small groups of four children. This means that they can work together to learn and share ideas. Of course, we always ensure that each child is challenged at their own level, and is learning about the subjects they are here to focus on.
We also have some allocated sessions when children can be tutored individually, if you would prefer one to one teaching for your child. Either way, we’re here to make sure each child we work with gets a real benefit from tutoring, and takes away positivity and excitement about learning.
We assess each child to make sure we know exactly how best to help them reach their potential. Face to face tuition takes place at our classroom at Elstree, where we have all of the educational materials we could possibly need, and online tuition is offered through Zoom, making full use of interactive learning.
All of our staff hold a current DBS certificate and we have public liability insurance.

Poetry Workshops
Poetry is a powerful literacy tool that contributes to vocabulary, phonological awareness and understanding of rhythm in language. Poetry allows children to put their knowledge of language to use, and we believe it should be a key part of literacy in primary schools.
Daisy Education offer bespoke workshops for primary schools, customised to your requirements, to make poetry accessible to children of all ages and abilities. We aim to engage your students, to inspire them to create their own poems and share their stories. We love it when children find excitement in using language in new ways, and it’s a real privilege to be able to help them do that.
Our sessions are available for Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 and 2. We offer single sessions, half day or full day workshops, and can also provide INSET training to support your staff in teaching poetry. All of our experienced staff hold a current DBS, as well as public liability insurance.
About Us
Daisy Education was founded by Alison Reese, an Advanced Skills teacher with 14 years’ experience at the head of a classroom. After sharing her expertise with schools throughout Barnet, Alison saw an opportunity to promote poetry more effectively within Primary schools. She started Daisy Education to bring the power of poetry to children of all ages.
Since then, Alison has expanded the remit of Daisy Education to provide tutoring that engages and entertains at the same time as educating, using the skills she developed throughout her successful teaching career.
Daisy Education is built on the principle that learning should be fun, and that needing extra support is an opportunity not a problem. Children benefit from being treated as individuals, with learning programmes tailored to their needs, challenges and, most importantly, their interests.
